Q. What are the documents required to book a tour?
To book a tour, you need passport with 6 months validity subsequent to the scheduled departure date of the tour and with sufficient number of blank pages for visa purpose. You also need to pay a registration amount depending on the tour price.
Q. If I do not have a passport, will Arabian Routes assist me for the same?
If you do not have a passport you can apply for the same online on www.passportindia.gov.in if you are an Indian National, however Arabian Routes does not assist for the same.
Q. What is visa and how should I obtain the Visa?
Visa is the short form for Visitors Intending to Stay Abroad. It is a permission granted by the high commission or consulate of the country you wish to visit. For nationals of certain countries, you have to go for personal interview too. Arabian Routes will assist you in filing the visa application in case you need only visa. In case of packages, visa fees is included in the tour price.
Q. What is the possibility of getting a Visa?
Granting of Visa solely depends on the respective Consulate/ Embassy. We just assist you in filing the application for the Visa. We neither assure nor guarantee the Visa to anyone since the same is beyond our control.
Q. If due to Visa rejection, I need to cancel my travel plan then do I get a refund?
Yes, you can get a refund after deducting the Visa application fees and cancellation charges, if any. (Kindly refer our cancellation policy)
Q. I have made the booking, now I want some changes after that?
You can modify your booking or travel plan. Our travel consultants will assist you with the same. There may be certain charges for additions. However as per the Arabian Routes Policy we do not charge for the modifications.
Q. Do I need to carry any ID proof while travelling in Uae?
Yes, all tourists must carry photo identification proof in the form of, passport and visa. Also, at certain sightseeing places in Dubai, identification proof is a must.
Q. What types of meals are included on the tour?
As per the tour itinerary requirement, there is a preset menu. We serve vegetarian food along with 2/3 non-vegetarian dishes. Breakfast is continental at the hotels, and meals are mostly Indian with a mix of fast/local food.
Q. Can I request for a special meal?
Yes, special meal like Jain meal (No onion garlic), fasting meal and baby meal can be arranged subject to prior intimation. For in between requirements of baby, we recommend you to carry sufficient baby food along with you.
Q. What is the difference between Child and Infant?
Infant is any guest who is below 2 years of age whereas child is a guest who is above 2 years of age and below 10 years of age.
Q. Do children get discount?
Discounts are applicable for all children, kindly refer our child policy.
Q. What is the child and infant Policy?
Under 2 years of age: Only visa charges apply.
Under 10 years of age: 75% of the total tour cost of an adult.
Children above the age 10 years are considered as adults.
Q. Do we have to walk a lot on tours?
Generally, we walk at sightseeing places, amusement parks and at the airports sometimes for a long distance, however the provision for wheel chair is there at most of the places.
Q. Do we have to wake up early on tours?
No not really, you wake up at leisure at your hotel, and after breakfast only, (after 8:30 am) we will begin the tour.
Q. Will I get some time for my-self on the tour?
Itineraries are designed and planned in such a way that you get to see maximum places, while we also spare some time for you to enjoy on your own. However, if you wish to skip any sightseeing, then you must inform our representative in advance, and we will try to compensate you in the best possible way.
Q. What if I reach late and miss a part of the tour?
Punctuality is of utmost importance, when travelling on shared basis. We do not want you to miss any part of the tour so please be on time and respect the time of other guests waiting for you (in case of shared transfers). In case, you miss any part of the tour, due to turning up late, Arabian Routes will not be responsible/liable and no refund shall be given in this regard.
Q. Can I get medicine on the tour?
We highly recommend that you carry sufficient medicines along with you on the tour. While packing, distribute them evenly in different bags to ensure that you have some medicine with you in case there is any delay in getting baggage or loss. However, you do get basic medicines/first-aid kit while on the tour.
Q. What assistance is provided, if I dis-continue the scheduled tour, because of illness?
If you fall sick on tour, kindly inform our representatives immediately. They will assist you in making all arrangements for the medical aid and will arrange a doctor for you. However, the expenses will have to be borne by you. Here, Insurance plays a major role, hence we highly recommend that you should get yourself and your family insured adequately before travelling.
Q. How can I stay in touch with my family and friends while on the tour?
While on tour, you can stay in touch with your family and friends through a local calling card or local sim card which is available at a nominal cost. You must carry your mobile handset.
Q. Can we Exchange Currency in Dubai?
There is never any difficulty in finding exchange counters. The Currency is easily changeable at the Airports and Hotels also, but the exchange rates are generally higher than in other places. So only go there for convenience or in case of an emergency.
Q. Can I use an ATM in Dubai?
Yes, you can!. Check the ATM fees that you will be charged per transaction. You will be charged a foreign currency conversion fee by your card service provider, i.e Mastercard or Visa. A foreign transaction charged by your bank and lastly, a withdrawal fee by the bank’s ATM that you will be using.
Q. Can I use a Credit Card for shopping / personal expense in UAE?
Foreign Credit Cards work flawlessly in Dubai. But you need to check a few things before:
- Check if your credit card is an international card. If it is, check whether the UAE is on the list.
- Inform your bank prior to your travel dates and that you will be using your card; because your bank might block the card, if they see a random transaction being done in a foreign country.
